Hexie night - 11/1/19

Friday, 11/1/19  -
  • LeftRight Game -  feel free to bring either a "stone" or a "flower"
    • November's stone is the Topaz
    • November's flower is a Chrysanthemum
  • How many Underground Railroad blocks have you completed so far? Keep plugging away because our UGRR quilts are the theme for our next show at the Arts Council! I can't wait to see how different the same quilt pattern looks with all of our different fabric choices.

Friday, 12/6/19 - annual Christmas Party
  • LeftRight Game -  feel free to bring either a "stone" or a "flower"
    • December's stone is the Turquoise or Zircon
    • December's flower is a Narcissus or Holly
  • Bring a Christmas FQ for our Christmas LeftRight Game - bonus points if your Christmas fabric also has hexies. I've seen at least 2 so far...
  • Mug Rug swap! Your mug rug must include some type of EPP and should be about 5x8". Christmas theme/fabric is not a requirement. Please bring your mug rug wrapped
  • Food!!! Of course there will be food! Think about what you would like to bring and we'll have signups in November.

=====================================
Wednesday, 1/1/20 - Annual New Years Day Party
  • What better way to ring in not only a new year but a new decade than with hexies?!
  • Sarah's got the key - she'll arrive at noon and then we can stitch until we drop.
  • Potluck signup will be at the December meeting.

Hexie night - 10/4/19

Friday, 10/4/19  -
  • LeftRight Game -  feel free to bring either a "stone" or a "flower"
    • October's stone is the Opal or Tourmaline
    • October's flower is a Calendula or Cosmos
  • 2019 Spring UFO challenge  - anyone working on a UFO this spring?
  • How many Underground Railroad blocks have you completed so far? Little birds are murmuring that the finished quilts would make a great group exhibit in 2021!
  • I know it's early but it's time to plan the Christmas Party, in so much as we need to decide if we are exchanging mugrugs or something else so that we have time to make them :)

9/2019 ACWC Quilt show

I hope we can all agree that our Opening Reception was a resounding success - I still have people telling me what a good time they had!!

The show teardown will be Saturday, 10/5/19, starting at 10am. Any quilts not taken home after the teardown will be taken to TQD.

Up next? We need to pick a theme for the next show in 2021!

ACWC Exhibit

Just 14 days (!!!!!!!) until our exhibit is hung at the ACWC on Wednesday, 9/4/19, starting at 4:30.
Arts Council for Wyoming County is at 31 South Main Street, Perry.
Our exhibit is in the upstairs gallery.

So far I have 9 entry forms from Agnes, Ann, Barb, Carol, Cheryl, Kelly, Lisa, Sarah, Sue. Do we have any other entries?? If so, please contact Sarah ASAP to get her the needed data.

Our opening reception is Friday, 9/6/19 from 6:30 until 8:30 - Jackie advertised these times so we'll need to run with them. I still think it's a good idea to get to the ACWC at 6 so that we can set up the food and greet our guests.

So far I have the following food items. Please let me know what you can bring if it's not already listed.
Fruit - Agnes, Sue Toal
Veg - Sue Ferris, Luanne
Cheese/crackers - Ann, Johanna
Cookies/brownies - Sue Chiddy, Carol, Cheryyl
Other - Larae (danish), Lisa (hot dip/chips), Barb (zuke bread)
ACWC is still donating the drinks.

Please advertise to as many of your friends as possible - both for the reception and for the exhibition as a whole.

Have I forgotten anything??!!
