Hexie Club - 11/2/18

11/2/18 -

• There are no birthdays in November so this is the perfect time to get caught up. Please Please Please Please Please, let's have all birthday blocks to their recipients by the end of the year. I'm willing to bet the birthday girl would be happy to receive the papers and fabric if you don't have time to stitch them before the December meeting. Lets finish this year clean so we can start our Underground Railroad project with a clean slate.

• LeftRight Game -  The FQ for this month is "Civil War" in a color of your choice. Very fitting, giving that we are starting our Underground Railroad BOM...

• The Underground Railroad BOM starts this month. Did you pay for your papers yet? Directions for the first block will be distributed. If you already have your fabrics, why not bring them as part of show-n-tell?!

12/7/18 - Christmas Party

• 2018 Fall UFO Challenge - How did you do on your Challenge? Did you make a lot of progress? Maybe you even finished a project! Please bring your project to share at this last meeting of the year...

• What food will you be bringing to the party? We'll do signups at the November meeting.

• Mugrug swap! Your mugrug must include some type of EPP and should be about 5x8". Christmas theme/fabric is not a requirement. Please bring your mugrug wrapped.

Tuesday, 1/1/19

• "They" say that what you do on New Year's Day is what you will do all year. It's the perfect excuse to spend the day sewing hexies!! 
• The store is closed but Sarah has the key! She'll arrive at noon and we can sew till we drop.
• Feel free to wear your PJs.
• We'll be doing a potluck meal for our New Year's Party - think about what you want to bring and we'll do signups at the December meeting.

• 2018 Fall UFO Challenge - We've started another round of UFO challenges to finish out the year. Did you pick a project yet? Howz it coming along? It can be a true UFO, a WIP or even a PIG. Please bring your project and share your progress

• The paper/template kits have arrived for next year's Underground Railroad quilt!!! Please be sure to bring money to pay for your kit if you didn't already do so at the September meeting. Have you picked fabrics yet? Or will you go scrappy?
