Hexie Club - 1/1/24

Monday, 1/1/24 - NY Day party @ noon

Sarah will arrive at noon with the key to "sneak" us in to the store for the day! We can stay as long as we like!

We will play 2 games...No need to buy fabric, just dig through your scraps! Please bring:

     - (5) fat eighths (9x22") in any holiday fabric(s)

     - (5) fat sixteenths (9x11") in any fabric

--We chose the theme of Holidays at our 12/1/23 meeting. 

--One idea included putting up a Christmas tree and decorating it with ornaments that we could sell and donate the money to a yet to be chosen organization.

-As many of you know, Claudia's sister Gretchen died as the result of an MVA during fair week: https://www.thebatavian.com/obituaries/636157/gretchen-e-von-kramer-pittman. 

-Claudia is going to host a celebration of G's life at the Quilter's Daughter on Thursday, 8/31 from 12-5pm. 

-We will discuss a group donation in September, after we get the quilt show settled.

It's a good Friday to share food with friends! By popular vote, the meeting has been changed to 1pm for desserts. Please email me to sign up for desserts/apps/drinks and I'll list the menu below as it evolves. Also, please let me know if you won't be able to attend.

We haven't played the new dice game the last 2 months due to the weather. Please bring 15 pieces of chocolate and we will try again! Any choco is fair game: Hershey's miniatures, Hershey's Kisses, Lindt, Ghiradelli, Dove, etc.

We will be meeting at Claudia's retreat at Camp Asbury - if you aren't sure of the location let me know and I can get you directions. 

We'll do show-n-tell, play our favorite new dice game and then mingle with the retreaters while we stitch.
