Go Art! 2026 Quilt Show

The show will include any hexie project you've made. The room is bigger than Perry so plan to bring your larger projects. I haven't heard yet if there are pedestals for some of the smaller projects. All hanging projects will need a hanging sleeve - either permanently attached or pinned on. I can explain how to add sleeves if needed.

 

Please supply me with a list of your items ASAP as I need to turn them in by the end of next week. I need the following info: your name, item title, media, price if it's for sale and year it was made.

 

Go Art! installs and opens several exhibits at the same time so we didn't have a choice in the following dates.

• Exhibit installation is Tues/Oct 6 through Sat/Oct 10. Please vote for the day/evening you are available. We seem to install best when there is a leader - any one interested in leading? You do not have to exhibit an item to participate - the more helpers, the faster we finish.
• Exhibit is live 10/15 thru 11/28
• Reception is Thursday/Oct 15 from 6-7:30pm. There are several exhibits opening the same day so that should make for bigger crowds. We are not required to bring food and if we do it's supposed to be something store bought. It's our choice but Jacki says a tray of cookies in our room is nice. The building has a (cash) bar so we cannot provide drinks. At 6:30 there is a series of artist talks. Visitors assemble in a gallery room to hear a 5 minute speech about the artist/technique/whatever, then move to the next room for another speech. I think its a cool way to do the the reception. Any volunteers to speak?
• Exhibit take down is the first week of December. I've been talking dates with Jacki and it sounds like she will take the show down for us and bring everything back to us. I mentioned our December meeting is 12/4 and she has always wanted to stop in so that might work. Either way, we do not need to do anything for the take down.

In Summary, this is what I need from everyone by Thursday, 9/24/26 so I can submit on 9/25/26:

1. List of exhibit items with label info
2. Your date/time choice for helping to install the show
3. Do you want to lead the install on a specific date?
4. Are you available to attend the reception?
5. Do you want to give the 5 minute speech at the reception?
6. Thoughts on a snack for the reception
