Corn Dog Casserole

Corn dog casserole aka hot dog helper :-)

12 servings

2 cups       thinly sliced celery
2 T            butter
1.5 cups    sliced green onion
1.5 lbs       sliced hot dogs
2 eggs
1.5 cups     milk
2 t              rubbed sage
1/4 t           pepper
2 boxes      Jiffy corn bread mix
2 cups        cheddar cheese *divided*


  • saute celery in butter for 5 minutes
  • add onions and saute another 5 minutes
  • remove veggies to a small bowl
  • saute hot dogs until lightly browned. mix veggies into hot dogs and set aside 1 cup of the mix
  • in a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sage & pepper
  • add veggies and hot dogs
  • stir in Jiffy mixes
  • stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese
  • move mix to a 9x13 pyrex and top with remaining veggies and cheese
  • bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 400F until golden brown
