Hexie Club - 1/1/23

 Sunday, 1/1/23 - New Years Day Party!!

Sarah has the key and will be at the store at noon to open up. 

We'll stitch until we can't see straight any more.

We will play 2 games. No need to buy fabric, dig through your scraps! Please bring:

     - (5) fat eighths  (9x22")

     - (5) fat sixteenths  (9x11")

Please bring an (unwrapped) pair of socks filled with $10 worth of goodies (notions, lotions, snacks, papers, ornaments, etc - anything goes!)

9/17/2022 - Hexie Club will demo at the Perry Farmers' Market. 10:00-12:15. 

Bring a chair, maybe a tv tray for working on and something for show-n-tell. I'll bring a clothesline to hang some items. Don't forget to bring a drink (or by a coffee onsite) and if you are brave, I highly recommend the $5 cinnamon buns, just plan to walk an extra mile or 2 to work off the delish frosting!

The market actually starts at 8:30 if anyone wants to come earlier than we are scheduled.

Pear Salad

Pear Salad -- from Sue Chiddy

 

1 small package lemon jello 

Can of pears - 16 ounce ( heavy or light syrup) 

Pear juice drained from pears and mixed with water to make 1 ½ cups liquid 

Dash of salt 

6 ounces cream cheese, cubed and softened 

8 ounces Cool Whip 

 

In a small saucepan, bring pear juice and water to a boil. Place the liquid, lemon jello and salt in a blender, blend. Add pears and cream cheese, blend. Add Cool Whip, blend. Pour into a bowl and chill until firm.

Who - All quilters are invited to attend, not just hexiologists. Bring a friend! Or three friends!

What - Bring any project; even your sewing machine, hexies, binding, etc.

When - 6/18/22, 10-5pm. We will order lunch.

Where - We will be stitching on the front lawn - bring your sunglasses, chair, maybe a small table and definitely a drink.

Why - Why not?! Quilting with friends is fun but quilting outside in the sun is even better!

 Friday, 2/4/22 - 

Camp Asbury has cleared hexie club to meet there during Claudia's retreat this weekend.

Claudia will set up tables for us in the main room. Masks will be required by Asbury when not sitting at the tables. Be prepared to mingle and have fun :) Oh and don't forget your show-n-tell!!
